Dear UN,
I’m concerned over reports of mass killings, rape, torture, loot and arson attacks on the minority Rohingya Muslims in the name of clearing operations by the Myanmar Army in Rakhine state after armed terrorists attacked border outposts on October 9.

Since then, over 100~400 innocent people have been killed and thousands of others fled home, while some waiting along Bangladesh border to save their life.

Under the circumstances, I think it’s high time the UN takes stern steps to force the Myanmar authorities immediately stop the operations and let the survivors return home safely.

These people need direct intervention of the UN peacekeepers until the government ensures citizenship and basic rights for the Rohingyas and other indigenous groups.

Thanking you,
